Wheat Bangle, Brooch, and Sunglasses - all Chanel

To Coco Chanel, wheat was a symbol of prosperity and luck - one that she decorated her apartment with copiously. In the latest Chanel accessories collection, Karl Lagerfeld called upon Coco's apartment decor for inspiration and brought back wheat as a symbol of the iconic brand for Spring 2010.

Wheat - a symbol of the rich and affluent - represents the rich opulent history of the brand itself, while it is also a symbol of luck to those who wear it.

nOir jewelry

noir jewelry

I first heard about nOir when Rihanna wore 3 of the Spike rings together to a charity event a few years ago. So, basically, she was even more lethal, if that's even possible. The ring description on the nOir site even says "Please wear at your own risk"!!

I love nOir jewelry because it's never ordinary and always original. Designer and owner Leeora Catalan's style is glamour with an edge, which has made nOir jewelry popular among many celebs and even among designers who use her creations in their runway shows often. Check out nOir jewelry to see more badass creations.

b&j take coachella

Tons of celebs were spotted at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California yesterday. Beyonce and Jay-Z, my favorite power couple, finished their performances from the first day and came out for the second day to see performances by Gossip, MGMT and the White Stripes, just to name a few.

Now, I usually think Beyonce has amazing style, and I know crop tops are in right now - but this outfit seems a little strange to me. Yeah, she looks better in it than I ever could, but there's just so much going on that it's confusing. The lace with the patent leather, with the cowboy boots, and boho headband...too much!

J - on the other hand - was looking dapper in a military/camo ensemble and Tims.

Other celebs were also seen at Coachella this weekend, including Katy Perry, Paris and Nicky Hilton, and Dita von Teese in some weird burlesque sailor outift.

your love is my drug

Last night, Ke$ha appeared in her first performance on Saturday Night Live and, as usual, stole the spotlight. She and her band mates were decked out in glow in the dark tribal outfits as she gallivanted barefoot and painted around the stage. But would we expect anything less from the eccentric pop star? I enjoyed the performance mainly because whenever I do get the chance to watch SNL, I fast-forward the musical guest because it puts me half to sleep. But not Ke$ha. This girl must be the most confident person I know. One thing though - does anyone think that Ke$ha's outfit choice was inspired by Sia's video for Soon We'll Be Found (below) about 2:30 in?

matthew williamson for bulgari

I had the pleasure of interning in the Bulgari Press Office in NYC this past summer, and was very excited when I got wind of some big news for the Italian luxury jeweler. Matthew Williamson will be designing a line of handbags for Bulgari to debut at 2011 Milan Fashion Week in September! Williamson, who left Pucci in 2008 to focus on his own line, was employed by Bulgari for "the great sense of color and design he brings to his work which resonates with our brand's rich history," as CEO Francesco Trapani explained. This is the first designer collaboration for Bulgari, and I'm so excited to see what they come up with!

I think Bulgari is an amazing company to work for - not only for the quality and beauty of their goods, but for the integrity and family-feel of the company itself. My internship last summer fell right on Bulgari's 125th anniversary - an amazing time for the company. I worked with fragrance, skincare, and hotels & resorts when they were in the midst of releasing a new fragrance, BLV II, and a new skincare line - all phenomenal products that received great response and tons of coverage. Whenever I had the chance, I'd go to the Bulgari store on Fifth Avenue and take in all of the amazing bags, scarves and - of course - high jewelry pieces. This collaboration with Williamson will breathe new life into the iconic brand and is sure to be a hit.

so you want a revolution?

On my quest to find my perfect job this summer, I've been keeping my eyes open for PR agencies that I might see myself working for. One agency that has caught my attention is People's Revolution, a NY-LA based fashion PR, branding, and marketing firm headed by go-getter fashion star Kelly Cutrone. I first heard of Cutrone when she employed Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port on The Hills and The City, and now I've been watching her new reality show Kell on Earth religiously.

The show documents the crazy life of Kelly Cutrone and gives a sneak-peek into what it's like to be an in-demand fashion publicist. People's Revolution represents many top-shelf clients, including Vivienne Westwood and Longchamp, and they put on some of the most major shows in the fashion industry. Their hardcore work ethic shined when they produced a record-breaking 5 shows at New York Fashion Week in 2002, which is insane considering the amount of work that goes in to producing just one!

One episode, where they were holding interviews for an open position at the agency, I found myself thinking "That girl doesn't what what it takes to work for Kelly, that should be me!" Not only would I be working for a woman that I respect and admire for her constant dedication to fashion, but I'd be immersed in the fashion world, my ultimate goal in life, and would be able to demonstrate my endless supply of energy and dedication to my work. I've heard that working for Kelly is tough and exhausting, but what do people expect in the fast-paced no nonsense world of fashion PR? When competition is fierce, only the strong will survive - and that's why I admire and aspire to be like the fine people at People's Revolution.

style spotlight: zac posen

Last night, Zac Posen hosted a party in New York's Herald Square to celebrate his new line for Target. Celebrities flocked to support the velvet bow-tied designer, including Claire Danes, Selma Blair, and Maggie Gyllenhaal.  Posen's guests took in a sneak peak at the collection, which hits stores on April 24, and a performance by SoCo all-girl alt-rock  band The Like.

Posen's Target collaboration will bring his designs to the everyday woman and open up a whole new demographic for the young designer. When asked about his collection by the New York Post, Posen said his collection is "a little bit Madonna, a little bit Tony Duquette and a little bit Andy Warhol". With all of his pieces for Target priced below $100 (except for a red motorcycle jacket for $200), Posen's line is sure to fly off the racks.

get it twisted

lanvin twisted snake necklace

I love animal jewelry - especially this Medusa meets Harbour Island creation. The metals are a combination of gold and brass, and it's decorated with turquoise enamel and Swarovski crystal detail. This ultimate statement necklace can be worn with anything from a T and jeans to a couture gown- it's glamourous and SO badass.

zappa!

jimmy choo zappa

These yummies came out a hot minute ago but I'm still lovin' them. They have a 5-inch heel and a 1-inch platform with a battery-operated neon-pink lucite sole that lights up when you dance!

alexander wang's rocco

Rocco is rockin' my world. Wang updated his iconic bag with the light gray version (up top) for Spring. The leather looks amazingly soft, and im loving the bottom studs that add some badass flare. Wang also makes a clear duffle with the same shape that would make a great beach or gym bag!

t's by Jonathan Saunders

Love these futuristic t's from Jonathan Saunders. The longer two double dresses or can be tucked into a pair of skinny's for day or night. They're tribal meets hipster - funky and effortlessly-chic. I love the idea of being able to throw a t-shirt on and not have to accessorize much because the shirt is perfect by itself. Saunders also makes tank versions with the same prints - a definite staple for my summer wardrobe.

cut these out

versace cutout boots

A few weeks ago on my daily romp around Net-a-Porter I came across these boots in the What's New section. Since then, I've seen them in a couple of editorials and Lindsay Lohan even tweeted her excitement that they were out.

With all due respect to Donatella and the  glorious House of Versace, does anyone else think that these are just plain tacky? Italian fashion is known to encourage the enthusiastic use of color and mix-matched pattens and fabrics, but these platforms are just excessive legwarmers. Cut off from the ankle up and maybe we'll be on to something!

nylon's 11th anniversary

I just picked up this month's Nylon, their 11th anniversary issue with Zoe Saldana on the cover

With 4 movies out this year, including Avatar and her upcoming film The Losers, Zoe Saldana must be loving the spotlight! And she rocks it. Yeah - she even made Star Trek cool for a little while. And from the red carpet to the streets, she always looks stunning.

To celebrate their anniversary, Nylon hosted a party at Trousdale in LA and had some, um, "celeb" attendees. These included Mischa Barton, Peaches Geldoff, and Linsday Lohan - who looked a little bit rough but what else is new eh LiLo?

accessorize with your eyes

Lately I've been thinking about the times when I found something that I needed to have, whether on the runway or on the street. When I was a kid, it was Steve Madden platform sneakers. Middle school hit and it was a Kate Spade messenger bag and a Michael Stars tee. Now that I'm (almost) grown up, and have developed a more sophisticated style than the bubble jackets of my youth, my heart belongs to one man - Alexander Wang.

I fell in love with Wang's grab-and-go style when I saw my first studded-bottom Rocco bag and I haven't turned back since. A "Wang-girl" in a sentence: 90's effortless chic with some leather detail, denim and studs, cut-outs, cut-offs and leopard-print booties.

In his Spring 2010 collection, Wang expanded his design resume to include sunglasses. He paired up with Linda Farrow to create some amazing shades - tortoise shell cat eyes, zipper outlined - yummy!
